If your car breaks down in the valley after hours you better hope you can limp it to the llantera. Ain't never closed and that big bastard Chuy is somehow always on the clock. There's a cot there in the back of the shop but I don't think the man's ever so much as sat on the thing. I reckon that 12 gauge behind the counter has seen more use.

Always seen him take up for those weaker than him though. Damn near killed a guy who took a hand his old lady right there in the shop once. I heard he was a Zapatista in the 90s. Explains a lot. 

He can barely speak a lick of English but seems to understand exactly what you tell him the problem is and always knows how to fix it. Folks say he studied under that old mechanic at the service station that does them tours. The guy was wrenching P-51s back when we was still fightin' the fascists. So that makes sense I guess. But with the language barrier he must be using that telepathy they teach em up at ol' Groom Lake...
